1. NichiaWe guarantee the reliability of individual LEDs only in respect of the reliability test items and conditions specified in this delivery specification; we accept no liability for any faults, incidents or losses arising from use outside the conditions specified in this delivery specification.

2. Nichia guarantees only that individual LEDs comply with the specifications set out in this specification at the time of delivery; it does not guarantee the service life or quality of the LEDs during installation or use by the customer. Customers should carry out thorough verification prior to using this product and assume full responsibility for such use.

3. The warranty period for this product is one year from the date of delivery. Should a defect be discovered within Nichia’s warranty period, the product must not be dismantled or analysed; instead, please contact your local Nichia sales office and follow Nichia’s instructions. Where it is established that the defect was caused by Nippon Asia, Nippon Asia shall provide the customer with an identical or equivalent product to replace the defective item; beyond this, Nippon Asia shall not be held liable in any way.

4. This product is designed for general lighting, household appliances and electronic products (such as telecommunications terminals), and is not intended for special applications involving safety of life (e.g. trains, ships, aircraft, spacecraft, subsea repeaters, nuclear reactor control systems, traffic control systems, combustion systems, life-support systems and safety devices). If used for the aforementioned special applications or other purposes with specific requirements regarding quality and reliability, unless explicitly authorised in writing in the specifications, Nichia Corporation shall not guarantee the suitability of the product, nor shall it be liable for any property damage, personal injury or death resulting from its use. This product does not comply with the IATF 16949 quality management system and is not designed for use in motor vehicles.
