EIT in the US has launched a UV LED ultraviolet detection meter, specifically designed to measure the ultraviolet irradiance of UV LEDs. There are currently four single-channel options available: L365, L385, L395 and L405, as well as the LEDCUER four-channel version, which comprises four channels in a single unit. EIT (USA) has launched a UV LED irradiance meter, designed specifically to measure the UV irradiance of UV LEDs. The range currently includes four single-channel models—the L365, L385, L395 and L405—as well as the LED CUER four-channel version, which comprises four channels in a single unit.

EIT’s LEDCure™ radiometers provide a patented Total Measured Optic Response. Every component in the instrument’s “optics stack” is included in the overall instrument response, not just the optical filter. The Total Measured Optic Response ensures consistent, repeatable and accurate readings from run to run, unit to unit and source to source.

  • UV energy for industrial applications has historically been generated by mercury or mercury-additive-based lamps using arc or microwave technology. UV generated by mercury sources is “broadband”, with output spanning the ultraviolet, visible and infrared spectra. UV LED sources generate UV within a relatively narrow band. The power levels, range of spectral options available, LED features and the form factor of the equipment have enabled LEDs to be used in new UV applications and, in some cases, to replace broadband UV technology.

    EIT has developed a range of LED UV measurement instruments specifically designed and engineered with an L-band response to measure industrial UV LEDs accurately, reliably and with repeatability. EIT LED radiometers are NIST-traceable and are available with different LED-specific responses or L-bands.
