Product Specifications

German UV-365A Ultraviolet Intensity Meter

The brand-new KUHNAST UV-365A, imported directly from Germany, utilises microprocessor technology and is a highly stable, high-precision UV irradiance tester. With its compact size and attractive, easy-to-read large LCD display, it is ideally suited for the effective testing of UV light sources across a wide range of industries.
In order to achieve consistent UV curing results and accurately determine when to replace the lamp—as relying solely on visual inspection by the human eye can lead to significant discrepancies—it is therefore all the more important to select a UV intensity measuring instrument.
Scope of application:
In sectors such as hygiene, healthcare, chemicals, electronics and aerospace, it is particularly suitable for measuring UV irradiance in fields including industrial UV curing, UV disinfection, medical physiotherapy, fluorescence analysis, UV lithography, water disinfection and biological breeding.
The KUHNAST UV-365A provides scientifically accurate test data, offering guidance on whether a new UV lamp needs replacing and on selecting the correct UV lamp power, thereby optimising the UV curing process and ultimately achieving cost savings.

Optional accessories: four types of probe: UVA, UVB, UVC and UVV.
Instructions for use:
1. First, insert the probe connector into the instrument’s connection port. If the instrument is switched on, it will restart automatically; if it is switched off, proceed to the next step;
2. Press the “NO/OFF” button on the far left of the instrument’s front panel to switch on the device. Once the system has displayed the brand logo and product serial number, if the LCD screen shows ‘MAX 0.000’ and ‘CUR 0.000’, you may proceed with the test;
3. Point the detection probe towards the UV light source to be tested. When carrying out the test, bear in mind that the readings are not related to the instrument’s calibration standards, but rather to the position and power of the UV lamp;
4. Depending on the position of the detection probe, the instrument’s display will show the corresponding light intensity reading; for example, if it displays “100”, this indicates that the detected light intensity is 100 mW/cm². ‘MAX’ denotes the maximum value, which is automatically recorded and retained if no higher value is detected;
5. The instrument’s display will show two sets of data: the maximum value “MAX” and the current value “CUR”. If the operator wishes to record the light intensity value at a specific point, they simply need to press the “HOLD” button once to lock the light intensity value shown on the instrument’s display;
6. Press the “CHANGE” button to start testing the next set of data; a total of 10 sets of recorded data are stored in a loop,
7. Smart power-off function: The backlight will switch off automatically if no buttons are pressed or no test information is displayed for 10 seconds; the device will switch off automatically if no buttons are pressed for 5 minutes whilst there is no signal; the device will switch off automatically if no buttons are pressed for 10 minutes whilst there is a signal. Once switched off, please place it in its dedicated packaging and store it safely.
