Product Specifications

UV-protective clothing, professional-grade, high-strength protection against UV penetration

I. The Harmful Effects of Ultraviolet Radiation on the Human Body:
Ultraviolet rays in the solar spectrum not only cause textiles to fade and become brittle, but can also cause sunburn and premature ageing of the skin, leading to the production of melanin and the formation of dark spots; in more severe cases, they may even induce cancer, posing a threat to human health.

The harm caused by ultraviolet radiation to the human body is attracting increasing attention worldwide. Countries such as Australia have explicitly required school uniforms and other items of clothing to offer sun protection, whilst China has also established standards for UV protection in textiles.

II. The Principle Behind UV-Protective Clothing
Shenzhen Deshengxing Technology supplies UV-protective fabrics to a wide range of customers; these fabrics contain highly effective UV-absorbing materials, and their protective mechanism is based on the fabric’s ability to absorb high-energy UV rays.

By causing a transition between molecular energy levels, the energy is converted into lower-energy thermal energy or electromagnetic waves of shorter wavelengths, thereby reducing the intensity of sunlight and eliminating the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation on the human body and fabrics.

III. Features of UV-protective clothing
This product is non-toxic and safe for human use; it does not irritate the skin or cause allergic reactions, and has good moisture-wicking and breathability properties.

IV. Materials for UV-protective clothing
UV-protective fabrics include cotton, linen, silk, woollen fabrics, polyester-cotton blends and nylon, amongst others; these fabrics effectively absorb, convert, reflect and scatter ultraviolet radiation in the 180–400 nm wavelength range (particularly UV-A and UV-B).

V. Authoritative Evidence
Tests conducted by authoritative bodies in Australia and elsewhere have confirmed that the UV-protective clothing (JC40X40 110X90 plain-weave fabric) has a UPF rating of up to 50+, and that this rating remains at 50+ even after 40 washes.

Shenzhen Deshengxing Technology can supply UV-protected fabrics in a variety of specifications: UV-protected pure cotton fabric: 40×40, 133×100, 36–100″; 30×30, 68×68, 36–102″; UV-protected polyester-cotton fabrics: 30×30, 76×84, 76–105″;

40×40, 100×80, 47–101″ UV-resistant, pure finished cotton fabric: 40×40, 110×90, 47–105″, etc.
