UV energy meter calibration, data debugging and repairs
If your UV energy meter is displaying inaccurate readings, with significant deviations, or if the readings do not match current standards, don’t panic – simply send it to us for calibration.
Shenzhen Deshengxing Electronics Co., Ltd. can calibrate UV energy meters
AboutCalibration of UV energy meters, you need to be aware of the following:
1. An existing reference meter—that is, the meter you have been using for testing. Customers who wish to have their UV energy meter calibrated against the original reference must provide no fewer than five sets of data obtained from the original UV energy meter under specific conditions. These five sets of data must be the results of individual measurements and must not be aggregated. Please also provide no fewer than five sets of data measured with the new standard UV energy meter under the same, unchanged conditions; these must likewise not be cumulative. Simply provide these two sets of data, labelled clearly, and return the UV energy meter requiring calibration together with the test data to our company.
2. Previously, there was no measuring instrument available for verification; customers who do not have a established standard of their own may use their newly purchased UV energy meter as a reference, and will not need to return it for calibration for a certain period.
3. Newly purchasedUV energy meterIf a customer has already submitted a product for testing at the National Institute of Metrology and subsequently requires our company to carry out a functional calibration, they must provide a copy of the metrological report issued by the National Institute of Metrology or the correction coefficients. If standard reference values under equivalent conditions cannot be provided, we will be unable to carry out the calibration as we will have no basis for reference.
4. Many customers send their UV energy meters to the National Metrology Institute for testing; however, if there is a fault with the product itself, the Institute will not issue any written report. If the Institute does issue a relevant metrological certificate, this indicates that the product itself has no quality issues. The certificate will also specify three sets of data: the standard value, the displayed value and the correction factor. Many customers are easily confused at this point, assuming that a deviation between the displayed value and the standard value means the UV energy meter is substandard; however, this is not the correct interpretation. As standards for UV energy meters vary from country to country, and national standards are not uniform, such discrepancies are entirely normal. However, if, under standardised conditions, the measurement results from a UV energy meter show significant deviation—for example, three measurements yielding 500, 210 and 400 respectively—this indicates that the UV energy meter has a quality issue. In such cases, the Metrology Institute will not issue any written report.
