Customer Information on UV Energy Meter Calibration<\/p>\n
Customers requiring calibration of their UV energy meters should note the following:<\/p>\n
1. Customers who require their UV energy meters to be calibrated to the original standards must provide at least five sets of data from tests carried out on the original UV energy meter under specified conditions. These five sets of data must be the results of individual measurements; they must not be cumulative.<\/p>\n
Please also provide no fewer than five sets of data measured using the new standard UV energy meter under the same, unchanged conditions; these figures must not be aggregated either. Simply provide these two sets of data, clearly labelled, and return the UV energy meter requiring calibration to our company together with the test data.<\/p>\n
2. Customers who do not have a reference standard of their own may use their newly purchased UV energy meter as a reference; there is no need to return it for calibration for a certain period of time.<\/p>\n
3. Customers who have recently purchased a UV energy meter and have already submitted the product for testing to the National Institute of Metrology, but who require our company to carry out a functional calibration again, must provide a copy of the metrological report issued by the National Institute of Metrology or the correction factors,<\/p>\n
If standard reference values under equivalent conditions cannot be provided, we will be unable to carry out the calibration as we have no basis for comparison.<\/p>\n
4. Many customers send their UV energy meters to the National Institute of Metrology for testing; however, if there is a fault with the product itself, the Institute will not issue any written report.<\/p>\n
If the Metrology Institute has issued the relevant metrology certificate, this indicates that the product itself has no quality issues. The certificate will also specify three sets of data: the standard value, the displayed value and the correction factor.<\/p>\n
Many customers are easily confused by this point; they assume that if the displayed value deviates from the standard value, the UV energy meter is substandard. However, this is not the correct interpretation. This is because the standards for UV energy meters vary from country to country, and national standards are not harmonised,<\/p>\n
This phenomenon is therefore perfectly normal. If, under standardised conditions, the readings from a UV energy meter show significant discrepancies\u2014for example, if three measurements yield readings of 500, 210 and 400 respectively\u2014this indicates that the UV energy meter has a quality issue. In such circumstances, the Metrology Institute will not issue any written report.<\/p>\n
5. Fees<\/p>\n
Functional Calibration: If a UV energy meter purchased from our company requires calibration, this service is provided free of charge for the first two years. After two years, a charge based on market rates will apply. For other customers, a fee of 200 yuan per calibration applies.<\/p>\n
Metrological calibration: If the equipment needs to be sent to a metrology institute for calibration and the issuance of a calibration certificate, Deshengxing customers will be charged in accordance with the metrology institute\u2019s standard rates. Other customers will be charged an additional service fee of 100 yuan.<\/p>\n
All shipping costs for returns are to be borne by the customer.<\/p>\n
